General
All music files are MP3 files with 192 kbps quality without DRM (Digital Rights Management).
Searching
You can search for "songs/artists" on the top right of the download shop.
Listening
To listen to songs you need a Windows Media Player Version 9 or another standard player which supports MP3 or m3u files. F.e. iTunes, Winamp,…
To listen to a song simply click on the "PLAY" button. The preview file will open automatically in your default player (i.e. Windows Media Player). The length of the file is limited to a maximum of 45 seconds.
Put songs in the shopping cart
To buy a song or a bundle (some songs i.e. a LP) click on the "SHOPPING CART" Button. It will open the SHOPPING CART in a popup window.
IMPORTANT: If the shopping cart doesn't open make sure your popup blocker is enabled.
If you have chosen a song you don't want to buy in the shopping cart you can delete it by pressing the "DELETE" button in the shopping cart.
Payment possibilities - credit card, bank transfer
The potato system offers various payment options. If you would like to pay by credit card or bank transfer, we recommend "First Gate". Once registered you can Click&Buy everything you want.
Payment over cell or telephone with Paybest (only available in Germany)
The systems shows you a number which you dial
- Write down the voucher code
- Fill in the voucher code in the textfield
- Payment confirmed
- Now you can download the bought song
Super-distribution - Earn money with the music you buy
You can "move" each song you have bought to your friends. To do that you have to Login with your Potato Login (which you receive upon your initial song purchase) on . You can find songs and bundles you have purchased under "My downloads".
To send the sell links to your friends click on the "EMAIL" button. In the case that your friend likes the song and buys it, you get 20% commission of the net price after any sales discounts. The money will be immediately transferred to your potato account.
This money may be reinvested in downloads, or if you have more than € 10.- you can transfer the money to your bank account (Germany, Austria, Switzerland only) or to your PayPal account. If you have your own business, fill in your international tax number in "My Data". Once the transfer has been made, you will receive a PDF with your account information.
